Labor Day weekend was a hot one with temperature reaching into the 100's. Kay and I took her mom and niece on a 2-day 1-night trip to Sequoia National Park visiting the giant of giants. We also went to Monterey Bay and came home along the Pacific Coast Highway. The hot weather makes for great scenic view as the coast were clear with bright blue sky. Enjoy some of the digital shots by going to the photos section and look for "Sequoia National Park".

Kay and I took our first annual vacation back on 7/30-8/8. We've always wanted to do a road trip and this time we finally did it.

To make a long story short, we started off going north through Sacromento, passed the Redwood National Forest, over to Oregon's Crater Lake National Park, along the Oregon coast for the beach and the lighthouses, into Washington for Mount St. Helen, and a stop over in Seattle (Sci-Fi Museum, Space Needle, International Fountain, and Pike's Marketplace).

Then it's off east through Idaho and into Wyoming for Yellow National Park, after a short stop at Custer's Last Stand, we went over into South Dakata for Mount Rushmore and BlackForest National Park with a visit to the Keystone cave.

Wrapping up the trip, we went back through Montana to Yellowstone National Park for a visit to Old Faithful, then it's down south to visit the Grand Teton. Driving through the night, we visited Salt Lake City in Utah on our way to Nevada with a little 30 miles cut through the northwestern corner of Arizona.

On our last day of the trip, we stopped by Las Vegas in the morning for a little gambling and lunch before coming home to our home sweet home by 5pm Sunday. Check out some of the digital shots by going to the photos section and look for "PacificNW".
